Well done to everyone who has taken part in this years Autumn Leicester League! The final round was swum at Braunstone this weekend, and the team put in a massive effort to achieve 4th place!! Having been in 7th after the first set of points, you all pulled in and brought the club up to 4th, fantastic effort guys! This put us in joint 4th place overall in the league, meaning they went to gala points to split us, which put us in 5th. This is a fantastic result; last year we came 7th, so we have moved up 2 (almost 3!) places! Well done everyone!I am just waiting for the results sheets to be sent through and then I can post the PB’sWhat a great finish to the year!

I just thought I would write a basic report about the final round of the Autumn league last night. I will leave Suzi to add P.B’S of which I know there were loads !
We had a hard round to finish on with several A teams in our draw. I was so proud of you all. You tried your hardest with some absolutely outstanding swims. I think we showed all the other much larger clubs that our determination and team spirit surpasses the rest. To prove my point last year we came 7th overall and this year we came joint 4th in the league and on gala points it made us 5th overall. This is a brilliant result and the hard work you have put into training has really paid off. You have to remember that we are still the smallest club in the league and there are 14 teams that took part.
Well done to Demi who stepped up to swim in the ladies Open team and Natasha who swam up in the 12/u relays. Matt Wright swam fantastically as ever making it look so easy and to have 2 PBs in one night and finally swimming 100 in under 60 seconds (57.65) what an achievement.
I have to thank Grace, Fiona and Chris who have come back from uni and swam for us throughout these galas. Chris only missed last night because Vicky was in her production and reports from people who went to see her was that see was fantastic. Well done Vicky!
It goes without saying that the results we are getting now are the culmination of your hard work and Suzi’s training and perseverance! Let’s see if we can repeat this success in the Winter league starting on January 17th
Thank you to everyone who participated in the three rounds, your parents for bringing you(cheering so loudly), and my team of poolside helpers.
Have a VERY Merry Christmas and a lovely New Year
Best Wishes
Rachel
