Star Swimmer Award 2010

The star Swimmer Award will given out after every gala to a swimmer who has stood out during that gala. Not necessarily in their swim but in other ways, for instance cheering, effort, enthusiasm and helping out stewards ect. The decision will be made by the coach, team manager, captains & stewards. It will be announced on this page as well as on the notice board poolside and the swimmer will receive a certificate the following week in training.

Annual Gala Week Two:

  •  For the second week of the Annual gala the award goes to a swimmer, who had enter the annual gala for the first time. This was a swimmer that had been very nervous in previous league galas. Although she managed to get over this and have two great swims. So this time its a big well done to Georgia Pike!

Annual Gala Week one:

  •  The award this time goes to Ben Rutt for his 100m front crawl swim in which he managed to take 8 seconds off his personal best time. So a well done ben and keep up the good work!

Leicester Diddy League round 1:

  • Hugh Langley Evens is the winner of the star swimmer award for this gala. Hugh swam well in all his races and always tries hard for the club in galas. Well done Hugh!

Leicester League winter competition Final:

  • The Star Swimmer Award goes to a swimmer who swam multiple races, most of which were in the age group above hers. She even swam up into the girls 100m BK stoke an distance she hadn’t swam before. So a big well done this time to Natalie King for some great swims.

March Friendly Gala Wigston:

  • The Star swimmer for this gala could have gone to many different swimmers but this time it goes to a swimmer who was very nervous before the gala but overcame those nerves to make 2 excellent swims. She trains regularly and makes the most of her chances to swim in galas and is always helpful and well behaved. This time the award goes to Eve Cook!  Well Done

Leicester League winter competition round 2: 

  •  The star swimmer award for round 2 has been awarded to  a swimmer who works hard in training and this shows in her gala performances. She always tries hard at gala and has a positive attitude. A big well done to Daniella Freestone!

 Leicester League winter competition round 1:

  •  The first star swimmer award of the year has been awarded to Rachel Hockedy! Who had a brilliant gala with some great swims. Rachel is a good team swimmer and always tries her best even when she is asked to swim up an age group or to swim an event she doesn’t normally do.  Keep up the good work and big well done!

January Home Gala:

  • The award for star swimmer is going to Oliver Adkin! He swam well even in events that he wouldn’t normally swim with some good results. He also gets into the spirt of the gala and performs constantly well what ever event he is asked to swim. Well done Oliver you are an important part or the team!
